Christmas Tea
At 12 noon on Saturday, December 12, 2009, the Arbor Day procession met at The Grove, The Inn on Harlee Street, for a scrumptious Christmas Tea. The Grove, a bed and breakfast, is a prominent historical marker in our community. It was decorated in turn of the century fashion for all to enjoy. The Christmas Tea was a steady course of finger sandwiches, quiche, scones with Devonshire cream and lots of warm tea. It was the stage for thanking those who came forward to promote the ambitions of young gardeners, looking back at the accomplishments of the year while looking forward to the future with great anticipation.
